I think the most outstanding landmark that I remember is the art deco block of flats at Rosehill which also housed the Gaumont cinema.
Yes, they were beautiful. I think they are still there? I have been in NZ for 40 years but still have very good memories of that area. The Rose was where I would be with the Tallboy family on Sundays - the roast in the oven ready for us when we arrived home in Green Lane. Saturday morning pics in the Gaumont - yeah!
